Vom 04. bis 06. Juni 2025 fand das International Social Housing Festival in Dublin statt. Es ist ein Forum für Diskussionen, Austausch und die Verwirklichung von Zielen, die mit sozialem und ökologisch nachhaltigem Wohnungsbau verbunden sind. Dr. Kirsten David, Mario Krebs und Jannis Kresse hatten die Möglichkeit, die Storyline der zukünftigen Intelligenten Modernisierungsplattform (IMP) näher zu erläutern und zur Diskussion zu stellen.
Das Storytelling im World Cafe-Format
Der Beitrag der forschungsleitenden (Forschungs-) Stelle für Immobilienrecht fand unter der Überschrift „Shared Stories of Modernisation – Bridging Landlord and Tenant Perspectives“ statt. Passend zum Thema wurde auf die Probleme im deutschen Mietrecht sowie auf die damiteinhergehenden Konflikte zwischen Mietenden und Vermietenden hingewiesen. Der mathematische Berechnungsansatz – das Funktionale Kostensplitting – konnte in diesem Zug erneut vorgestellt und erläutert werden. Um eine „Brücke“ der Kommunikation zu schaffen, entwickelte das Team bereits einen ersten Prototypen der IMP. In einem anschaulichen Beitrag wurde der Anwendungsfall des modernisierungswilligen Vermieters durchgespielt und anhand des Prototypens erläutert.
Anschließend kam das Team mit den Zuhörenden zusammen und es entstand anhand verschiedener Fragen eine erkentnissgewinnende Diskussion. Aus der bislang weitesgehend nationalen Perspektive konnte so über den Tellerrand hinausgeblickt werden.
Erkenntnisse und Weiterentwicklung des Projekts
Nicht nur die Diskussionen lieferte wertvolle Ideen und Impulse für die Weiterentwicklung von IntelMOD. Es konnten wertvolle Kontakte geknüpft werden und bestehende Kontakte weiter ausgebaut werden. Doch auch andere Workshops, Vorträge und Seminare die besucht wurden, lieferten Denkanstöße und werden mit Sicherheit bei der zukünftigen Entwicklung Berücksichtigung finden.
Nach der ENHR 2024 bestätigt eine internationale Konferenz erneut die Relevanz des Forschungsprojekts IntelMOD. Abschließend bleibt nur zu sagen, dass die Teilnahme an der ISHF 2025 ein voller Erfolg war und sich am Ende des Projektes auszahlen wird.

From June 4 to 6, 2025, the International Social Housing Festival took place in Dublin.
This event serves as a forum for discussion, exchange, and the realization of goals associated with socially and environmentally sustainable housing. Dr. Kirsten David, Mario Krebs, and Jannis Kresse had the opportunity to present and discuss the storyline of the future Intelligent Modernisation Platform (IMP).
Storytelling in the World Café Format
The contribution from the research-leading institution for real estate law was presented under the heading „Shared Stories of Modernisation – Bridging Landlord and Tenant Perspectives.“ In line with the theme, the presentation addressed issues in German tenancy law and the resulting conflicts between tenants and landlords. The mathematical calculation method – Functional Cost Splitting – was introduced and explained once again. To create a „bridge“ of communication, the team had already developed a first prototype of the IMP. Using a vivid example, the application scenario of a landlord intending to modernize was demonstrated and explained with the help of the prototype.
Afterward, the team engaged with the audience, and a discussion rich in insights emerged based on various questions. This allowed the team to move beyond a predominantly national perspective and gain valuable international viewpoints.
Insights and Further Development of the Project
The discussions not only provided valuable ideas and impulses for the further development of IntelMOD. Valuable new contacts were made, and existing ones were strengthened. In addition, other workshops, lectures, and seminars attended during the event provided further food for thought and will certainly be taken into account in the project’s future development.
Following ENHR 2024, another international conference has once again confirmed the relevance of the IntelMOD research project.
In conclusion, participation in ISHF 2025 was a great success and is sure to pay off by the end of the project.
